Thank you for showing interest in attending IPC15 TAIWAN in 2024.
Please read the guidelines before registering for the event.
Guidelines for Registration
- The Conference (Nov.30 – Dec. 1, 2024) and Convergence (Dec. 4 – Dec 8. 2024) are two distinct events. Select the event/s you want to attend and register accordingly.
- You can participate or volunteer in the Convergence if you have successfully completed a standard Permaculture Design Course (PDC) or are referred by a permaculture practitioner.
- The main language of sessions at the Conference and Convergence will be English. English-Mandarin translation will be provided in the Conference and some sessions in the Convergence. The pre-IPC courses will be conducted only in English without translation.
- The following are details of the registration fee for the events, including the pre-IPC courses. Accommodation options and rates are provided separately. The registration fees include meals during the events, except for the breakfast of the 2 day conference.
- If you would like to bring your children along to the event, registration fee per child (4 to 12 years of age) is 50% of the fee for adults. Children can participate in the children’s activity if they like (further information will be provided). If you require a separate bed/or tent occupancy for the child’s accommodation, standard rates apply.
- For group registration ( more than 10 people), please contact the host team at ipc15tw@earthpassengers.org and tell us how many people in your group. You’ll get a discount code for 10% off of conference and convergence registration fee, excluding accommodation. Group registration does not mean that your group need to travel together. Each person needs to fill in their own group registration code and in the individual registration form.
- What to do in between IPC Conference and Convergence? You can choose to sightsee around Kaohsiung City/Harbor or go to Taitung County earlier. Taitung is where the Convergence will take place and there will be cultural events to participate provided by local aboriginal communities (some extra fee to pay on site ) . Please refer to the ‘Edge Events‘ page of this website (more information will be updated). You can also choose to visit the National Museum of Prehistory which is quite close to the IPC Convergence site.

NOTE:
- The conference (Nov 30 – Dec 1, 2024) is open to all for participation.
- The live streaming of the conference (Nov 30 – Dec 1, 2024), only for the presentations, other edge events are not included. No translation. Include access to recording until March 31, 2025.
- For the convergence (Dec 4 – 8, 2024), you can participate or volunteer only if you have completed a standard Permaculture Design Course (PDC) or are referred by a Permaculture practitioner.
- Registrations may close before 31 Oct 2024 if the maximum participation (400 for IPC-Conference and 500 for IPC – Convergence ) is achieved.
- Registration fee is inclusive of Service Tax
- NA stands for Not Applicable
- Once we receive the registration form (complete in all respects) and the fee is credited in the account, you will receive an email confirming your participation along with your Registration Number. Please quote this number in all subsequent communications.
- For International participants, once the registration procedure is completed, the IPC Office will email you an invitation letter that may be required for visa. For other guidelines regarding Visa application, click here. Check HERE to find out if you need a visa to enter Taiwan.
- The deadline of application for scholarship support to attend the International Permaculture Conference and Convergence (IPC15 TAIWAN) in 2024 is July 15, 2024.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
NOTE:
- The conference dates are Nov 30 & Dec 1, 2024. in Kaohsiung City.
The conference site is at R23 (meaning Redline, Station #23). There are many options for accommodation along the Kaohsiung MRT system so we won’t arrange accommodation for the conference. - The accommodation for convergence (7 nights, Dec 2 – Dec 8, 2024) is applicable for the participants attending the full Convergence. For participants opting for single day/s, the accommodation options are not provided.
REFUND POLICY
If you decide to cancel the order which you already pay, you must write an email to IPC15 to inform us:
– Before 2024/09/30, we’ll return 80% of the registration fee;
– Before 2024/10/31, we’ll return 60% of the registration fee;
– After 2024/11/01, we won’t return any registration fee.
*If you can’t attend in IPC15 because of your visa issue, you need to provide evidence and email to IPC15.
We’ll base on the final amount we get from your order (already deduct the service fees among banks), and deduct USD20 as administrative fees to return you the balanced amount. However, the money we return may be deducted among different international banks, so we can’t guarantee the amount of money you’ll receive in the end.
** Notice! Because of the limited human resources, we’ll deal with all the refund cases after the end of IPC15. It might be after 2024/12/15.

Additional guidelines for Students
- To register as a ‘Student’, you must be under 25 years of age and currently pursuing education in along with your application.
- You will need to submit a copy of your current student identity card issued by your educational institution.
Additional guidelines for Volunteers
- Volunteers will help the convergence (Dec 4 – Dec 8, 2024). Please fill in the volunteer application form.
- If your volunteer application is approved, you’ll receive a code from IPC secretariat, please fill in the code when you register and you will receive a NTD4500 discount.
- Volunteers will be required to work for a four-hour shift daily during the event (Dec 4 – Dec 8, 2024) . However you are also encouraged to arrive early to help with the preparation before the convergence (food and accommodation will be provided for those who come help on-site before the convergence).
- Volunteers need to arrive in the convergence site no later than 3:00 pm on Dec. 2 for the orientation. If you are unable to reach on the reporting dates, the registration as ‘volunteer’ will be canceled and IPC secretariat will need to collect NTD 4500 from you.
- Last date for application is 15 July, 2024 or if we recruit enough volunteers, the application will be closed. Limited volunteer tickets are available.
